curvy women all over the world for long have suffered with lack of representation in the fashion industry.
In fact, how many times have you seen big retail brands offering inclusive clothing that please every body type?
With such few options out there, women generally resort to online retail brands to find their perfect size, and that too is a nightmare and never a fruitful exercise to indulge in.
But recently a fashion retail brand came up with an inclusive campaign and it is receiving all the hype that it deserves; from women all over the world.
Fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing (PLT) recently teamed up with Hailey Baldwin for a campaign, featuring plus size models wearing their clothes with conventional models wearing the same items by their sides. They even had women of colour in the campaign.
And people are now calling out other companies to take note and be more inclusive.
People not only praised the change, but are also big fans of the move. Women took to Twitter to share their joy and here are some of the best tweets.
I feel like @OfficialPLT are offering something we NEVER see in curve. They’ve already extended their sizing to a 26 (hopefully beyond that at some point too!) and they have hundreds of options on site. Their photography and styling is cool and fresh too. 👌 pic.twitter.com/s0aOm9uCN6

This is a great step, and I understand they are models …but why is it always the option between being a size 6 or “curve” 18. When can we start seeing a reflection of more body types ? @OfficialPLT https://t.co/MHqYtLCPoi

Not only has the brand extended their plus range to a size 26, they are also paying attention to providing good clothing items to plus size women (Bye, bye to badly printed tunics).
With a size range that expands from 16 to 26, good times for curvy women are definitely here, we just wish more brands would start doing the same thing.
